Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 Vaccines at DuPage Immediate Care

DuPage Immediate Care is fully equipped to administer both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. The vaccine you receive will depend on the availability of each vaccine.
We are administering the vaccine in accordance with the CDC and IDPH guidelines. Please visit the CDC website as well as Illinois Department of Public Health website for more information:

We do not accept walk-ins for COVID-19 Vaccine, you should me make appointment.

THE Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 VACCINE

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine is a two dose vaccination series given 21 days apart. It will be given to you as an injection into the muscle. If you receive one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, you should receive a second dose of the same vaccine 21 days later to complete the vaccination series.

MODERNA COVID-19 VACCINE

The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine is a two dose vaccination series given 28 days apart. It will be given to you as an injection into the muscle. If you receive one dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, you should receive a second
dose of the same vaccine 28 days later to complete the vaccination series.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

At what age can individuals start taking COVID-19 patients? Expand

You can take Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine starting at age of 16 years old. You can take Moderna starting at age of 18.

How much does the vaccine cost? Expand

The vaccine is paid for and supplied by the United States government and the injection is covered by insurance. We accept most insurances, give us a call at 630-282-6002 for more information. If you have no insurance, then we will use the CARES Act to cover the injection.

What are the side effects? Expand

Most common side effects include pain, swelling, and redness in the arm where you got the shot, chills, tiredness, and headaches.

When will I get the second dose of the vaccine? Expand

We will schedule your second appointment when your first vaccine is administered. It depends on the vaccine brand you took on your first dose, for Pfizer is 21 days and for Moderna is 28 days to get your second dose.

How is the vaccine stored? Expand

We are equipped with Ultra Cold freezer (-80 °F) for Pfizer vaccine and a freezer (-20 °F) for Moderna vaccine.

Can I walk in to get COVID-19 vaccine? Expand

No, you need to make an appointment.
