Tips To Beat Fatigue Naturally

Tips To Beat Fatigue Naturally

May 31, 2022

It seems like everyone is tired these days. Even before the pandemic, people were complaining of fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and not getting enough sleep. Millions of Americans experience fatigue on a daily basis, and while this is common, it doesn’t mean it should be normalized. Fatigue can be a sign that things are out of balance in your body, and shouldn’t be ignored.

When we talk about fatigue, it’s important to distinguish a feeling of tiredness from more serious clinical conditions like chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) or fatigue associated with other clinical diseases. If you have been experiencing symptoms like deep fatigue that doesn’t go away with rest, inability to exercise or participate in activities, or body aches, it’s important to get checked out by your doctor!

However, whether your fatigue feels mild or more serious, there are a few things that you can do to boost your energy again. Here are some tips to beat fatigue naturally!

1. Prioritize sleep

Too many people are chronically sleep-deprived, and this is often the most straightforward fix to fatigue. Aim for at least 8 hours of sleep every night. Some people find they need 9-10 hours to replenish their stores.

2. View natural light

Our circadian rhythms are designed to be tuned by the sun’s light during the day. Try to get bright light in your eyes within 1 hour of waking, and take light breaks throughout the day, outside.

3. Reconsider stimulants

Many people reach for coffee, tea, and energy drinks when they feel tired, but this can actually make you more tired over time. Try to wean off the caffeine and other stimulants, to recalibrate your body’s baseline natural energy.

4. Eat nutrient-dense

Digestion is a major player in the body’s energy system, and you may feel tired if you’re not getting enough nutrients from your food. Skip the processed, packaged, and high-sugar foods, and opt for whole, nutrient-dense foods instead like meats, eggs, vegetables, and healthy fats.

Are you struggling with fatigue that just won’t go away? Come down to DuPage Immediate Care today.
